The Strengthening HIV&AIDS and Tuberculosis Responses in East Central Uganda (STAR-EC) project is increasing coverage and utilization of quality, comprehensive HIV&AIDS and tuberculosis prevention, care, and treatment services.

Serving approximately 3 million people, STAR-EC covers the nine districts that comprise Uganda’s East Central region: Bugiri, Iganga, Kaliro, Kamuli, Mayuge, Namatumba, Namayingo, Luuka, and Buyende. STAR-EC is a six year, USAID-funded program implemented by JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc.
